About this London Attraction
The London Museum is the new home of the world’s largest city museum, opening in the restored Victorian General Market at West Smithfield in the City of London on 28 November 2026. Designed by Stanton Williams and Asif Khan with conservation architects Julian Harrap, the £437m museum tells thousands of years of London’s story across three interconnected spaces — Real Time, Our Time (in the Linbury Hall) and the subterranean Past Time galleries — drawn from a collection of seven million objects. Entry to the permanent galleries is free. A second phase at the adjacent Poultry Market opens in 2028.
