About This Event
An unflinching new play about sex, power and the economics of attention transfers to Soho Theatre from 22 October to 21 November 2026, following its world premiere at this summer’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Written and performed by award-winning creative Hannah Reilly and directed by Paige Rattray, ROLEPLAY follows a struggling feminist podcaster who rebrands herself in pursuit of fame, only to lose herself in the performance. Bold, darkly funny and surreal, it’s a razor-sharp interrogation of modern sex, womanhood and the commodification of feminism in the age of the personal brand. Performances were almost sold out in Edinburgh ahead of opening; tickets for the Soho run are on sale now.
