7 Creative Ways to Document and Remember Your Trip to London

Aug 13, 2021 By Jonathan

The beautiful capital city that is London. Rich in art and culture a visit to this popular city destination is certainly one to remember. Whether you are an avid visitor of the city or you are on your first trip of a lifetime, we are sure that you will want to document your trip and cherish the memories you make.

There are so many creative ways that you can document the memories from your trip to London and today we will be discussing seven ways in which you can achieve this.

Film A Video

Photographs can be a great way to document your trip, but the power of video shouldn’t be underestimated. A video is entertaining, and it can really help to keep the memories of your trip alive by bringing the story to life. You don’t need to be an expert to create a memorable video and you can even film clips on your phone and edit them using editing apps.

The beauty of a video is that you have full creative control over what it looks like. There may be a song that you associate with your trip. Once you’ve compiled all your clips together you can overlay the song on top to make it even more special. To really enhance your video making skills you can purchase a phone tripod online which make it easier to fit more people into the shot including yourself. It can also be a useful piece of equipment for taking pictures.

Create A Scrapbook

Most of us fall victim to bombarding our phones with hundreds of pictures from our adventures. After all, London is packed full of stunning landmarks and attractions so it is no surprise that you may get snap happy when visiting. However, sometimes we store pictures in our camera roll and forget they even exist. This is where a scrapbook can come in handy.

A scrapbook is a creative way to put all your pictures in one place. Instead of them taking up your phone’s storage, you can create a stunning book which will become a fond memory to look back on. The beauty of a scrapbook is that you have full control over the design. You may have visited an attraction like The London Eye. To remember that part of your day you could stick your tickets in your scrapbook as well. The possibilities with a scrapbook are endless and you can really unleash your creativity to document your memories in a unique way.

Turn Your Favourite Photo into Art

When it comes to travel, there will always be that one special photo that sticks in your mind. A great way to remember your London trip is by turning your favourite photo into a canvas print that you can display in your home. Turning your photos into canvas prints couldn’t be easier with the help of PhotoBox who can help you create a piece of art which you will cherish for a lifetime. Simply upload your chosen photo and let them handle the rest.

Canvas prints also make for a great gift. If you visited London with a loved one, then it can be a thoughtful and unique idea to create a canvas for them as a memento from the trip.

Create A Memory Box

It is no secret that creating a video, or a scrapbook can take a lot of time and effort. Sometimes, you might not have the time to put into creating these items but there are still some ways that you can cherish your memories with the help of a memory box. A memory box can be whatever you want it to be, and it can even be cost-effective, a shoe box will work great! In this box you can store any tickets, maps, photos and souvenirs that you gained from your trip.

It can be a great memory to look back on and it also keeps your items protected. If you have never made one of these boxes before then luckily there is so much memory box inspiration online which can give you some creative ideas on the type of items to include in your box.

Start A Blog

If London is just one of the many travel destinations on your list, then it can be a great idea to start your very own blog. A blog is a great way to document your trip and it can also help you reach out to other travellers who have visited the city. Not only can you share the places you have explored on your blog, but you can also find hidden gems that other people have visited to give you some inspiration for your trip.

A blog is something that you can always look back on. As well as writing down your experiences you can also upload pictures and video. Unfortunately, technology can be temperamental and there is always the risk that storing your pictures and video on a mobile device can get lost. So, by storing your most cherished memories on your blog you will always have that to look back on.

Create A Travel Journal

If you like to write or even sketch, then a travel journal is a great way to record your London experience by hand, whilst you are experiencing it in the flesh. There is something about a travel journal which can feel more personal. It’s a creative way to capture your experiences in the future and because it is a physical product rather than a picture that you would store digitally, you will always have it to look back on.

You can purchase a travel journal online and they come in an array of sizes and designs. You can even get creative and make your own. Why not personalise your travel journal with stickers that you have brought from your London trip? This memento will be one that you can cherish forever and share with your friends and loved ones.

Fridge Magnets

If there is one souvenir that you can purchase from any trip it is the generic fridge magnet. London gift shops are full of them and with a wide range of options available you will be spoilt for choice. Magnets can be displayed on your fridge at home, or you can even purchase a magnetic board and create an impressive display in your home. Along with your London magnet you can also display magnets that you collect from your travels. It can be a great piece to look back on and remember the trips that you have been on. Let’s face it, we can’t resist a good gift shop or two!

In summary, there are a plenty of ways that you can document and remember your trip to London. The city has so much to offer its visitors and a trip here is always one to remember. To make the most of your trip it is advised that you do some research beforehand to help you find any hidden gems that are waiting to be explored. Social media is always a good place to start as well as blogs. Trust us when we say, London is full of exciting attractions and breath-taking art.
