About This Event
A former Royal Arsenal munitions store, now a much-loved Thamesmead wildlife reserve, hosts a cutting-edge double bill of open-air audio-visual installations that give voice to nature itself. In I Have No Name, Catalonia’s El Conde de Torrefiel translate what nature has to say to us in a tone that shifts between the intimate and the prophetic — turning the gaze back on us, asking not how we see nature, but how we are seen in return.
In Canopy, Lorna Rees Company invite audiences to explore a forest of suspended sonic seed pods holding surprising contemplations and songs inspired by nearby trees, developed with more than 500 collaborators. Friday 4 & Saturday 5 September at Tump 53 Nature Reserve, Water Lily Walk, Thamesmead. Free. London premiere.
