About This Event
The world’s largest and longest-running classical music festival fills the Royal Albert Hall for eight weeks, from the First Night on 17 July to the famous Last Night on 12 September. Founded in 1895, the Proms offer a daily programme ranging from full symphony orchestras to late-night jazz and film music, with the celebrated cut-price standing “promming” tickets available on the day for a few pounds. August is prime Proms season — an easy, gloriously British evening out on a warm night in South Kensington.
