Londoners will have the chance to step back in time and experience the story of the world’s most famous ocean liner when the UK’s largest Titanic exhibition arrives at Olympia next summer.

Running from 25 July to 16 August 2026, the exhibition will showcase an impressive collection of genuine Titanic artefacts, including one of only a handful of surviving deckchairs from the ill-fated ship. The piece, which was thrown overboard and used as a flotation device during the sinking, will be displayed alongside what’s believed to be the largest surviving fragment of the Aft Grand Staircase.

The exhibition has already proven enormously popular, drawing crowds in Birmingham, Glasgow, Newport, Leeds, and Manchester. Now, organisers expect over 50,000 visitors to descend on Olympia during its three-week London run.

“The Titanic holds such an important place in the history of innovation, showcasing the marvels of design and technology in the Industrial Revolution,” said Joe Levy, Exhibition Manager. “This ties in beautifully with Olympia’s grand legacy.”

Indeed, the timing is particularly fitting. The exhibition’s London launch coincides with Olympia’s landmark 140th anniversary and the completion of its £1.3 billion transformation into the capital’s newest cultural and entertainment district.

Visitors will journey through the entire Titanic story, from the ship’s design and construction in Belfast to its tragic sinking and lasting legacy. The exhibition uses immersive displays, soundscapes, and the actual words of passengers and crew to bring the experience to life. Personal items belonging to those aboard help humanise the individual stories behind the maritime disaster.

The exhibition will also explore London’s own connection to the Titanic’s story, weaving together historical and contemporary threads.

For those wanting to delve deeper, an Expert Pass offers exclusive behind-the-scenes content, including a look at the exploration of the Titanic’s wreck site led by a genuine Titanic expert.
