About This Event
The British Museum’s first major exhibition of Korean art and history in over 40 years. Spanning 300 BC to the present day, Korea brings together National Treasures on loan from the National Museum of Korea and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art alongside works from the British Museum, drawn largely from the Lee Kun-Hee collection. Highlights include bronze ritual implements, a 13th-century gourd-shaped celadon ewer, rare Buddhist paintings, Jeong Seon’s Clearing after Rain on Mount Inwang, and contemporary work by Nam June Paik and Do Ho Suh. Note: the gallery is closed 1-2 December 2026 for a conservation display rotation. Early-bird tickets from £14; under-16s free with a paying adult.
