The Mercer Street Hotel re-opens in London’s Covent Garden district this October after a £15-million refurbishment.
The hotel, formerly The Mountbatten, now has 137 new bedrooms and bathrooms with Apple TV technology. There are seven suites, with large Union Flag-painted Smeg fridges and views over the Seven Dials Village area.
The hotel’s six meeting rooms are capable of hosting from six to 50 delegates, who can be served Japanese-style Bento boxes at lunchtime.
Dial is the hotel’s bar and restaurant. The bar will offer a meze menu, and the restaurant will serve modern European dishes with fresh British produce.
Dawn Thomas, General Manager of The Mercer Street, says: ‘This landmark hotel, at the heart of Seven Dials, is as hip as the area that surrounds it. Business and leisure travellers now have a retreat that enables them to enjoy London to the full, in comfort and in style. The Mercer Street is the ultimate hub for those wishing to work or to play.’
Weekend rates start at £214.80 for two people sharing a double or twin room.
