What Are The UK’s Favorite Online Casino Games

Nov 22, 2018 By Jonathan

Before online games came into the gaming industry, games were somewhat localized. Take the example of games such as Pontoon and Bingo. In the past, people would look at them as games that were predominantly British and as such, you would mostly find them in British gaming areas. Gradually, these games spread across the globe such that not only were they played in all of Europe, but they also became quite popular in other continents. Games such as blackjack, slots, and roulette became the go-to for people visiting casinos, and they have retained their position over the decades with more variations of the same coming into the scene. With UK’s booming online casino sector, it became easier for people to popularize these games which promise amazing returns to players. People also got more insights as to what they could do to get more rewards and which sites offered the best terms. Here are some of the most popular casino games in the UK at present.

Roulette

We all know that there is a wheel involved in playing this game. Even people who have only seen casino scenes in movies are aware of this. But do we know how the game came to be? Roulette is a French word which means little wheel, hence the wheel in play. The game first began in France and was quite popular in hotels and casinos in the 18th century. Back then, gamers in Paris had a lot of fun placing wagers on this exciting game and its love soon spread throughout Europe to other parts of the world. Today, it is one of the most common casino games, including in the UK’s online gaming scene.

Part of the reason why people take to it owes to its simplicity. On the wheel, there are numbers 1-36. The croupier spins the roulette and a small ball lands in one of the pockets containing the said numbers. The point of the game lies in guessing which number the ball will land on; something that proves tricky. You can also opt to choose the group of numbers where the ball is most likely to fall as you would have a much bigger chance of winning if you pick this.

Most people opt to go for easy bets in the form of 50/50. It is as simple as whether the ball will land on an even or an odd number, a high or a low number, and on a red or a black number. Here, you are way more likely to get it right. There are two kinds of roulette that you can play; European and African. If you hear people talking about French roulette, know that they mean the former option. You can get tons of reputable sites to play roulette in at Topratedcasinosites.co.uk.

Blackjack

When it comes to card games, blackjack is one of the names that come to people’s minds owing to its exciting play. You see, even though you can play the game with more than one person, you should know that you are competing with the dealer and not the other players. It is quite interesting as you try to come out on the winning end. The game starts with the standard 52-card deck, and you win by getting 21 on playing the first two cards. If you also get close to 21 and the dealer has a low hand, you win. If you exceed the 21 (Blackjack), you walk away from the table with a win.

It works like this. Any face card in this game is worth 10 while an Ace can either be 1 or 11. The game starts with the dealer giving you two cards, and he/she also takes two. Whether the dealer will expose one card on not will depend on the variant. You have a choice to accept the cards, or you can keep the dealer dealing until you get what you need. The blackjack variant is not constant, and it depends on many things such as the number of decks and other details that change as the game progresses.

Bingo

Playing bingo online is not all that different from what you would experience in the gaming halls that were characteristic of the twentieth century. Sure, you may not have people shouting bingo all around you as you determinedly mark your cards, but you still get to have the social aspect. You can chat with other people from around the world as you play, and you can mark the cards yourself if you wish. The main difference between online bingo and the traditional version is that the software makes the number selection. Other than that, most of the other features are the same, from the variants in play all the way to the card selections. Plus, you get tons of bonuses just for signing up.

Other favorite casino games include poker, baccarat, and slots. Playing online casino games has made gaming much simpler for gamers, and it is clear that the growth of this industry has only just begun. There is much more to come in future.
