London’s best venues

Apr 25, 2022 By Jonathan

London is arguably the most iconic city in the world, as it is full of history and has long been home to the royal family. Travellers from all over the world fly here, playing casinos not registered with gamestop to experience its modern atmosphere.

We’ve all heard of the city’s most popular establishments at least once: Buckingham Palace, the legendary Houses of Parliament, everyone’s favourite London Eye and so on. But the UK capital is much more than its attractions, and by visiting only the tourist attractions of London, you’re essentially missing out on all the character and fun that this great city has to offer. In this article, you’ll learn about the best venues in the city.

Aviary Restaurant

England’s capital city has one of the best skylines in the world, so the only right course of action is to find the best place to enjoy it. A great place to visit for tourists in London, the Aviary not only offers an elegant bar, botanical cocktails and delicious food, but also has a 6,000 sq ft rooftop.

London Cabaret Club

The London Cabaret Club is a great way to experience the culture of the city. Shows ranging from spy thrillers to celebrations of British pop music are put on here. You get to experience London’s culture and history in one of the many lavish shows and enjoy delicious British food.

Searcys At The Gherkin

The Gherkin is one of the most iconic buildings around. As well as tasty drinks and food, the Searcys Bar offers visitors stunning panoramic views of London.

О2

The O2 Arena was originally created to celebrate the millennium. It has been dubbed the Millennium Dome. The building was once just an exhibition centre with various exhibits and hands-on activities aimed at schoolchildren. Today, the O2 Arena is an institution for live music and stage performances. The arena regularly hosts some of the entertainment industry’s top celebrities. The arena houses a cinema, various bars and restaurants serving cuisines from all over the world.

The O2 is the perfect place to meet friends. If you are looking for a grandiose adventure, be sure to climb to the top of O2. During these guided walks you can climb up the dome to the roof. From here you have an enchanting view of the city.

London Dungeon

The London Dungeon is a modern, high-tech version of a haunted house. It plays out bloody historical events in a dark and humorous way with live actors, special effects and terrifying rides. Jack the Ripper, the Great Fire of London and other significant events are played out here. If you love horror and haunted houses, this is a must-see on your list.

Nightjar Shoreditch

When we say Nightjar is one of the best bars in London, we’re not kidding. Here you can sample cocktails created by some of the country’s best mixologists while sitting in a beautiful 1920s underground bar. The venue offers candlelit tables, plenty of live music and the best cocktails. It’s a must-visit for tourists in London.

BFI

The British Film Institute is a must-see for film fans. The building itself is located in the popular Southbank area. It is a great place to unwind after a stroll along the riverside. The BFI shows films every day. The repertoire varies from blockbuster favourites to repeat screenings of cult classics and indie hits. You can visit the library and the film shop. BFI has a modern riverside bar and restaurant. Have a delicious meal or discuss the latest cinema releases over a drink.

The Escapologist

The Escapologist takes its visitors on a fun-filled journey through history. Modeled after a modern Victorian gentlemen’s club and a Masonic lodge, the fun but elegant venue has a story of its own: legend has it that the vagabond Baron von Tuck escaped execution through these very tunnels. You can pop in for a cocktail, some delicious gastronomic treats and a taste of this quirky London bar.

Other places to go

London is a metropolis that’s as vibrant by day as it is by night. There’s always something interesting going on, even after dark. As the sun goes down, London’s lights come on, giving the city a magical glow.

The city offers free walking tours that invite you to explore the city at night. Don’t miss the opportunity to see St Paul’s Cathedral lit up after dark, as well as the Gothic architecture of Big Ben and Westminster Cathedral.

Visit Hampstead Heath for stargazing or see Hyde Park at night, where bats are often spotted. After a long day and night exploring one of the world’s most beautiful capitals, visit the Polo Bar on Liverpool Street for an all-day, weekend meal.
