7 Tips to Getting Beautiful Healthy Looking Hands

Oct 6, 2019 By Jonathan

Who doesn’t like to look their best? Contemporarily, beauty has revolutionized and has become probably the most important thing for many people.  So many beauty regimes have emerged in the past decade and more are to come. In today’s article, we’ve discussed the top 7 tips to get you beautiful looking hands you always wanted. Our hands can be seen by everyone, and we use them to do everything, So it’s important that we look after them to show off healthy beautiful hands. Go to https://www.therapieclinic.com to get more tips and guidance on beauty and more.

1.    Moisturize

We hear this all the time, and that’s because it’s so important. Moisturizing your hands is crucial to avoid dry, cracked skin. Make sure to use a light moisturizer in the summers. Since winters, tend to dry your hands more quickly, use a heavy moisturizer during the cold season.

2.    Treat Yourself with a Manicure

You can go to a professional manicurist or treat yourself to a manicure at home at least once a month. Manicures not only clean your hands, but they exfoliate and massage them as well which is good for removing dead skin and blood flow respectively.

3.    Wash Your Hands

I think this goes without saying, always ensure to wash your hands before and after eating and cooking. Use hand soap or hand wash that will moisturize your hands, and you can always use a hand sanitizer to kill bacteria too. Also make sure to use tepid water when washing your hands – water that is too cold or too hot can damage the skin.

4.    Don’t Bite Your Nails

Biting your nails is a bad habit; you should stop immediately. It’s not only bad for your teeth, but also your nails. When you bite your nails, note that saliva makes your nails weaker, therefore your chances of getting ingrown nails and hangnails increases. Not to mention, dirt, bacteria and other debris can enter your mouth which could make you sick.

5.    File and Trim Regularly

Trim your nails once a week, or according to the growth of your nails. Filing your nails is important too, but make sure you do that in the same direction and not in a seesaw motion. You should also make sure to never use your nails to open plastic bags, bottles, or anything of the like. This can lead to nail breakage and even damage.

6.    Scrub Your Hands

Make sure to scrub your hands at least once a week to remove dead skin cells. Here is one simple yet natural scrub, you can make at home:

Take a teaspoon each of fine sugar and olive oil. Mix this well with the juice of half a lemon. Scrub this onto your hands for about 3 to 5 minutes. Wash your hands off with mild soap and lukewarm water. You can search for more scrubs online and make one right at home as per your needs.

7.    Eat Right

Eating an adequate diet that contains all the foods from the 5 food groups in the right proportion is important. This is not only good for maintaining bodily health but nails too. Ensure to eat a lot of leafy green vegetables in your diet and foods that contain vitamin E. You can even consume vitamin E capsules to do the trick.
