7 Casinos to Visit in London

Nov 23, 2020 By Jonathan

There are a lot of exciting things for you to do in London but the options get significantly reduced when it comes to having fun and winning money at the same time. The best way to go about having fun and creating an opportunity to win money is to visit some of London’s finest play casinos.

There are 29 casinos in London and all of them have their own charm. Here is a shortlist of the top 7 casinos to visit in London made by guest author Samuel Richardson who visited all of these 7 casinos in early 2020 and highly recommends them. To find out more about Samuel Richardson, click here.

Keep reading to find out which is the best casino in London. Do note that this is not a list of the best play UK casinos but only a list of the best play casinos in London.

Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City

This is the biggest casino in London and is definitely a must-visit if you are looking for some play casino games. You will find a large size gaming area that has 150 slot machines, 40 table games and 15 poker tables. This casino opened its doors to the public in December 2011 and covers a total of 65,000 square feet. The casino is opened to the public on a 24/7 basis. This is a full-fledged casino that offers a convention centre, restaurants and bars.

Casino At The Empire

This is the second biggest casino in London and covers a total of 55,000 square feet. The casino has been around since May 2007 and offers players over 120 slot machines, 50 table games and 5 poker tables. If you visit this casino and find that there is only a limited number of slot machines on the gaming floor, head over to the Empire Poker Room which is opened on a 24/7 basis and you will find more slots in the poker room. This casino also has restaurants and a nice sports bar.

The Hippodrome Casino

Opened its doors for the first time in July 2012. There are over 120 slot machines on offer here and 45 table games. This casino is also opened 24/7 to the public and has self-parking. Do note that the Heliot Steak House and Heliot Cocktail Bar and Lounge are usually very busy.

Grosvenor Victoria Casino

If you are in the centre of London, this is going to be the easiest casino for you to visit. This is one of the oldest casinos in London and is popularly referred to as the Vic. The casino opened its doors to the public in Jan 1965. You will find a gaming space covering 71,000 square feet offering you access to 50 plus slot machines, 8 table games and 35 poker tables.

The Ritz Club

If you are looking for a luxury casino experience in the heart of London, head on over to the Ritz Club. The setting is one you will not forget as you have plush red carpets, gold leaf covering the walls and mirrors all around to give you a high-end luxury experience. The Ritz Club gets its theme from the Amber Room which is found in the Summer Palace located in St Petersburg. Top celebrities that have played at the Ritz include Al Pacino and Johnny Depp.

Forty Five Kensington

This casino has been around since 1964 and was formerly known as the Genting Casino Cromwell Mint. The casino has been renamed to Forty Five Kensington and it is not hard to figure out why as the casino is located at 45 Cromwell Road in Kensington. There are 75 plus slot machines and 14 table games available here. The casino is run by the Genting Group which operates a total of 42 casinos throughout the UK.

Maxims Casino

The Genting Group also operates Maxims which is also located in Kensington. Do note that you will not find any slot machines here but only table games. This casino has been open since January 1970 and has a special room for VIP players.

Conclusion

If you have a preference to visit big casinos with large gaming floors, try Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City or Casino At The Empire. If you like a more cosy gaming experience, look at the Ritz Club or Forty Five Kensington.
