5 Most Beautiful Casinos to Visit on a Trip to London

Jan 23, 2023 By Jonathan

If your travels have brought you to London, you should take advantage of the opportunity to play in British casinos. This type of leisure will undoubtedly be of interest to those who like gambling entertainment. But we also recommend going to the most beautiful London casinos to those tourists who have not been fond of gambling before. In such institutions, visitors get vivid impressions from the game and the luxurious interiors, the audience, and the courteous service.

Rating of the Most Beautiful Casinos in London

We present an overview of the TOP 5 casinos from the capital of the UK with the most impressive architecture and interior design. But don’t forget that you don’t have to go to the city to enjoy playing poker or slot machines. You will find reliable casino games that pay real money.

1.    The Casino at the Empire

A trip to the Casino at the Empire should be your priority if you appreciate old British Victorian architecture. Initially, the building with a central element in the form of a dome was conceived as a space for musical performances. However, later its area was increased by outbuildings for restaurants, bars, and other entertainment venues.

To get the most out of the evening, you should calculate the time of your visit in advance and book a seat in the VIP bar. If you manage to do this, then you will have a view of Leicester Square at your service. It is worth noting that the institution works seven days a week. If you are staying in London for a long time, then for the sake of the view, it is worth waiting for the date you can make a reservation.

2.    Hippodrome Casino

This gambling establishment near Leicester Square occupies the building that previously housed the Hippodrome Theatre. Despite the building’s magnificent view and respectable past, admission is free. You don’t need a membership card, either.

But if you often visit London and the Hippodrome Casino, you should try to get a reward scheme card. With it, you will receive discounts on visits to the excellent restaurants and bars that Hippodrome Casino has at its disposal. The more actively you use the services of the institution. The more discount points will go to the card.

The number of visitors to Hippodrome Casino includes people with different incomes and experiences visiting gambling clubs. The gambling zone is divided into 4 levels. Entertainment can be selected according to the amount you are willing to risk. Therefore, such a visit can be attributed to the number of things to do in London on a limited budget.

Hippodrome Casino is one of the largest in the UK in terms of area. This made it possible to fit in its zones with gambling entertainment popular with gamblers from different countries. So, it doesn’t matter where you come from to London. In any case, you will find a holiday to your liking.

3.    Les Ambassadeurs Casino

This casino is part of a luxury hotel and is housed in a Georgian building. A significant portion of the fame of Les Ambassadeurs has been brought by the fact that its interiors have repeatedly appeared in the frames of Hollywood blockbusters. For example, in the seventies, a part of «Dr. No», the first film in the James Bond spy action series.

The casino has a large lobby. Private rooms are provided for playing in a limited company. They are popular with celebrities. So don’t be surprised if you meet people you’ve only seen on screens and in the press when you visit Les Ambassadeurs.

The strength of the gambling club is its gourmet cuisine. The choice for customers is not limited to European cuisine. Middle Eastern, Chinese and Indian dishes are widely represented. The restaurant is decorated in Art Deco style and is located at a convenient distance from the main gaming floor.

4.    Maxim’s Casino

Like the previous establishments from the rating, this casino was initially intended for other purposes. The house was built in the middle of the 19th century for the writer John Forster, who later wrote a biography of Charles Dickens in this building. The building was reconstructed at the end of the 19th century. Its appearance is as close as possible to what architect W. Cubitt intended it to be.

The casino is open 24/7. However, tourists should consider that it will not be possible to come to Maxim’s Casino for the first time and immediately go inside. The club belongs to the “members only” category. This means providing proof of identity before the first visit and waiting for the application to be approved. Only after that will you be able to get into Maxim’s Casino, join the game and appreciate the magnificence of its interiors.

Visitors can access 26 tables for three-card poker, blackjack, baccarat, and other classic table and card games. If you want to get into the most exciting rooms, then it is worth booking a place in a private room. For example, the visitors of the Dickens Room are brightened up by the stained-glass ceiling.

5.    Grosvenor Casino Barracuda

This casino in central London stands out from the rest in the rankings in terms of concept. As the flagship of a sizeable British gambling chain, Barracuda decided to take a step further and abandon the old luxury ideas. This allows guests to expect modern interiors with premium materials and precisely calculated design. At the same time, details that evoke the feeling of a traditional London club are preserved.
