4 Great Ways to Enjoy Gaming on Your Night Out in London

Sep 17, 2019 By jonathan

There are so many things you can get up to on an evening out with friends or family in London, but every now and then it is fun to think outside of the box and try something a little bit different.

Adding some gaming action to your evening could be the perfect way to get the night off to a great start, so here are a few of our suggestions on some of the activities you could enjoy while out in our great city.

1. Head to a casino

It may seem an obvious choice, but London is home to some fantastic casinos which offer a range of classic games from blackjack and roulette to poker. There are many places you could consider, but big names to look out for may include the Empire Casino in the heart of Leicester Square or The Sportsman close to Marble Arch.

Of course, you might want to polish up on your skills beforehand, so why not get warmed up with an online casino? Many sites offer promotions to new players, so keep an eye out for casino VIP rewards which may include deposit bonuses or even free spins on online slot games.

2. Tackle an escape room

The escape room trend has grown massively across the UK in recent years and the sites are undoubtedly a lot of fun. The aim? To simply find a range of clues and tackle different challenges in order to secure your exit from a locked room.

As you would expect, there are plenty of escape rooms in London to choose from. However, notable names to look out for include ClueQuest on Caledonian Road and the Escape Rooms branch close to London Bridge. At the time of writing, the latter featured challenges including one based on raiding an Egyptian tomb.

3. Strike it lucky with bowling

Let’s be honest, everyone loves a game of ten-pin bowling and it is always a great way to kick off an evening. After all, it starts conversations and also gives the winners a whole load of bragging rights too!

One brand which you will see mentioned time and time again when it comes to bowling in London is undoubtedly All Star Lanes. They have a total of four sites in the city including establishments in Brick Lane and Holborn, so head along, grab a drink and some great food and then get the ball rolling on a fantastic night.

4. Try a gaming bar

Gaming bars are another growing trend and they offer people the chance to enjoy a few drinks while also tackling some video game favourites along the way.

Loading in Dalston is a good shout for this kind of fun, with the site featuring an Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and a SNES Mini. Furthermore, fans of old-school gaming will be in their element with the choice of more than 60 board games too.

Let the games begin

Whether you’re entertaining visiting friends or simply looking for something to do on an evening with housemates, we’re sure that the ideas above will prove to be massive fun.

A night out in London does not simply have to mean heading for a drink, so embrace your competitive spirit and let the fun and games begin.
