This is a worthy Kickstarter project that I wanted to share.
I’ll let the project creator explain it:
I See London: A Love Letter in Photographs is a project I have already started on (though I didn’t realise it) as someone who engaged in a lot of photography while living in London from late August 2009 until mid-November 2010.
With this project, I want to compile my photographs and assemble them with some of my writing to create a publication that’s part personal history, part urban snapshot, part memory, part street photography, part emotional collage and part awkward encounters with a diverse and dynamic city. I want to create a publication that celebrates London on a very personal level, and engage with readers and viewers to think about how their environment affects them.
Also, I hope it will make a few people laugh or smile.
I See London will be published in a format similar to a zine or a literary journal, something easy to pocket or stuff in a bag to pull out later for reading at a café or on the bus. I want it to be something that can be viewed in a non-linear way. At this point, I am looking to publish my work with MagCloud and also have a digital format available between November of this year and March of the next.
If you are unfamiliar with who I am, please have a look at my blogs to get an idea of my photography, my writing and my interests:
If you’d like to help her out with her project, you can become a part of it on KickStarter.
