Many people don’t realize that the Queen’s official London residence, Buckingham Palace, is not open to the public for most of the year.

That said – officials have announced the 2011 opening dates.

Buckingham Palace will open in 2011 between August 1st and September 25th.

During this period, you can view the State Rooms including the Throne Room, the Green Drawing Room, and the White Drawing Room, the Music Room –17 rooms will be on view.

If you’re planning on being in London this summer and want to see the inside of Buck House – then be sure to plan your trip during August or September.
