City Bound: the daily commute into London from the suburbs in 1941. Life went on ‘as normal’ during the Blitz – work, travel and social life during WW2 in London, with gas masks and helmets as part of the norm. Great London scenery during the 1940’s, people going to work, catching trains and buses. “Each morning five million people are moved from home to work by London’s transport system”. On 27 September 1940 a census found that 177,500 Londoners were sleeping in Tube stations, so they installed bunk beds.
What a fascinating look at every day life during the London Blitz.

I had to visit and research London on-line.Wish I could visit. I will advertise your site on my website: sarinaroseauthor.wordpress.com and my FB; Sarina Rose Author.
