This video is making the rounds and it’s pretty awesome. London commuter James Heptonstall wanted to answer the age old question: is it quicker to go on foot between two Tube stations or take the Tube?

James raced the Tube from Mansion House to Cannon Street in the City of London, a journey that featured climbing 75 steps, sprinting through the streets of London and passing through two ticket barriers (clearly he has an Oyster Card!).

It’s an amazing feat – does he make it in time? Watch the video and find out!

There’s no way I could possibly do this but it’s pretty amazing to watch. It helps that James is a trained athlete. They said they would consider doing another one if the video proved popular – it’s at 4,00,000+ views on YouTube so I’d say it’s a hit!

  1. I’d say it’s a tie, and I’ll stick with the Tube myself. ;D Many thanks to James for seeking out the answer to the question so many inquiring minds want to know. His efforts are appreciated.
