Ruislip

Ruislip Tube Station is a London Underground station situated in the suburban town of Ruislip in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The station is located on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines and is the last stop on the Metropolitan line towards the north-west end of the city.

Ruislip Tube Station was opened on 4 July 1904 as part of the Metropolitan Railway’s extension from Harrow-on-the-Hill to Uxbridge. The station was initially called Ruislip and Ickenham, reflecting the two towns it served, but the name was later simplified to Ruislip. The station’s original building, which was designed by the architect Charles Clark, is still standing today and is a Grade II listed building.
