A long time ago, in an internet far far away, we set up Google’s Feedburner for our RSS feed. This allowed people to read our website in the feedreader of their choice or be notified by email once a day whenever a new article was published. It’s one of those things that just worked and once you set it up, you forgot about it.

Fast forward over a decade, Google has decided to make some changes to Feedburner – a product that had admittedly forgotten about itself (just log in – the interface hasn’t changed since 2010). They’re going to give it some attention, but as part of that, they’re shutting off email notifications, forever.

I wasn’t going to care until I learned that we had over 500 subscribers through this system. So, we’ve had to create our own system to allow these people to continue to get their email notifications when we publish something new.

We opted for a platform called Mailpoet that will send you a digest email when we have new articles go up. We don’t publish something every day – but when we do publish something, you will get emailed when we do along with the summary and link to read it.

So, please add [email protected] to your email whitelist to make sure you get the emails!

If you have no idea what I’m talking about but would like to get email updates when we publish a new article, you can sign up in the form below.
