We have launched a new British topic discussion forum! It’s something we should have done long ago, tried in the past, but failed at. It’s time to try again.
We’ve been in beta now for a couple of months, and it’s now ready to share with everyone. Thank you to all the beta testers who helped us iron out the kinks and get the conversation going.
This is one of many new things we’re trying to grow Anglotopia and interact more with our audience and fans. For many years, the primary way we did this has been on our Facebook page. But since Facebook has been controlling more and more what our followers see, we haven’t been able to reach nearly as many people as we used to. It’s devastated the business, but it’s also ruined online conversation because the only things that get attention on Facebook are the things that cause controversy or make people angry. You can no longer have sensible and enjoyable conversations because Facebook’s algorithms don’t allow it or promote it.
So, we want to get everyone who wants to talk all things Britain off of Facebook and onto the new Anglotopia Forum. The Anglotopia Forum will be a free and open forum to discuss all things British. It will be a SAFE environment. SPAM and abuse will not be tolerated. You will be amongst friends in the Anglotopia Community Forum. The focus will be topics of conversation will be about Britain that are enjoyable, friendly, and funny. We want it to be an island of tranquillity in the internet storm.
It’s designed to be accessible on your computer or your mobile phone, so you can read and discuss anywhere. You can also access it through the Anglotopia Mobile App (available for Apple & Android here). For now, there are no ads, but that may change in the future as it grows. The goal for the community is to connect with Anglotopia followers and occasionally market our own things. Registering to post is free and easy.
So, please come on over and let’s have a chat about all things British!
