Property Services firm CBRE has released a series of artist impressions of what the Southbank London Skyline will look like in the year 2023 once all the proposed skyscrapers are built. Makes for some very interesting viewing.

I’m torn when I see images like this. On the one hand, I love London’s classic look. On the other hand, I love gleaming glass skyscrapers (we’re from Chicago, we invented the skyscraper). I just don’t know if I love them in London.

  1. Jonathan, I think the skyline is perfect NOW. I hope it doesn’t get crowded. I do love the Chicago skyline , from the lake especialy but Chicago is NOT London and London has it’s 2000 plus years of fabulous history and God forbid they would crowd it out. I don’t think they will but then they did build those hideous office buildings after WWII!! Hopefully the architects of today and Prince Charles will never allow that to happen again.
