A survey of London commuters was undertaken by Randstad to determine which tube line carried the wealthiest commuters and which professions were most likely to travel on what line. Looking at all nine tube lines and their stops – which one would you expect to have the wealthiest commuters? Perhaps the Hammersmith & City Line which takes you from trendy West London through to the heart of the city – London’s rich financial district? Or maybe the Northern Line with a carriage full of Soho media types? Whatever the preconception, you may find yourself surprised. This interactive graphic tells the story of each tube line, what their commuters earn on average and just who you might be sitting (or standing) next to.
