A weekend in London would not be complete without sampling some of the delicious breakfasts of the city. It gets your day off to a promising start, whether you’re looking to cure a hangover or are just in need of something to munch on. These days everybody’s so conscious of eating healthy that we’re starting to forget our roots, and let’s not forget that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Take a look below as we uncover where you can find the tastiest morning treats.

The Breakfast Club, various locations
With cafes in Soho, Camden, and Hoxton, the Breakfast Club cafes rule the roost when it comes to top notch breakfasts, guaranteeing a great start to your spring or summer holidays. Choices range from a full-blown full English breakfast to a skinny bowl of muesli. Trust us, there’s something here for everyone.
If you have enough room, be sure to try the chorizo hashbrowns – chorizo, mushrooms and hashbrowns topped off with a fried egg. Delish!

The Diner, various locations
If you fancy classic American blueberry pancakes smothered in maple syrup with a milkshake on the side, then only the Diner will do. There are five of these restaurants scattered across London, including locations in Shoreditch, Soho, Camden, and Islington.
With a stellar breakfast menu, you may find it hard to decide. One scrumptious suggestion is the eggs Benedict. Order it with a side of macaroni and cheese if you’re as greedy as me.

Giant Robot, Clerkenwell
While this top restaurant may not serve up breakfast as you know it, the brunch here is outrageously good, and deserves a mention. This place is for foodies that find themselves strutting the streets in search of a fulfilling menu between the hours of 10 and 5 on the weekend.
Tuck into the Brooklyn Breakfast – a plate of eggs any style, house fried potatoes, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, and toast. The flavours will leave your tastebuds well and truly tantalised! The café is also famous for its baked Alaska, which you get flamed at your table.

A traditional Turkish breakfast can be wolfed down in Dalston – just take your pick from the plentiful supply of cafes and restaurants on the Kingsland Road. My personal favourite is the Evin Café, which offers a medley of tastes including olives, yoghurt and honey with warm Turkish bread. If you’re put off by the expensive package holidays in central London, why not get a cheap hotel around here?
If you’re looking for a cheap greasy meal, check out Bar Bruno – a Greek restaurant situated on Wardour Street in the heart of London. This small, cosy place offers a friendly service which is complimented with great affordable food — a great find in the city centre.
The Modern Pantry has a very hospitable atmosphere, an ideal setting for a spot of breakfast. The café also has a counter that offers a variety of baked goods, selling all sorts from pies to quiches and a selection of sugary treats.
