With everything from modern rave clubs, live stands ups and traditional British pubs you can often find yourself spoilt for choice on a night out in London.

London’s nightlife definitely flaunts the best the city has to offer and, with something for everyone, you can be assured of a good time. But if you want a memorable night out where can you head to find the perfect evening for you?

The Nightclub: Mingle with the Celebs at Amika

Situated at 65 High Street Kensington, the award winning nightclub Amika, exclusively for ages 21+, is the ultimate clubbing experience and a popular venue with the rich and famous. The drinks aren’t cheap and it is a bit pretentious, but it has gorgeous interior, the atmosphere is electric and there’s always a beautiful crowd. Amika is one of London’s hottest clubs, playing the very best in club classics, house, funky house, and RnB music.

You will need to pay £20 at the doors and it does get very busy so get there before 10.45pm to avoid disappointment. The door policy is very strict so you will need to be dressed to impress, but you won’t be disappointed, the atmosphere is really something special.

The Stand Up: Laugh till you cry at the Comedy Store

The comedy store, located in Piccadilly Circus, is nowhere near as sophisticated or grand as the nightclub Amika, but it does have a unique charm.  The comedians are truly outstanding and it hosts some of the most talented and hilarious acts around. The jokes can get a little rude so as long as you don’t take offense it is a very amusing and enjoyable night.

No two nights are ever the same so whenever you need a laugh with your friends this is the place to be. Food and drinks are available, which is all very reasonably priced. Also check who is performing on the night, but you are nearly always in for a treat.

The Alternative: Take a cruise along the River Thames

For a more relaxing atmosphere, why not take a dinner cruise along the River Thames and see the best views in London at night? Enjoy live entertainment from a jazz band whilst indulging in a 4 or 5 course a la carte meal, freshly prepared onboard the beautiful boat Symphony. With its all glass structure, you will be able to view the astonishing famous sights of London including the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Shakespeare’s Globe.

After the meal, the jazz band will liven up the atmosphere so you can dance the night away. Be sure to dress up as the dress code is smart to formal. Packages start from £75 and the cruise last for approx 2.5 hours. Overall, it is a memorable and breathtaking experience and great way to celebrate a special occasion in style.

Whatever you decide to do with your Summer nights make London the place you do it.
