The London Transport Museum is offering up a rare chance to ride on old London Underground Stram trains this July and September.

Step back in time and enjoy the nostalgia of travel in bygone times during London Transport Museum’s Summer Steam events at Epping Ongar Heritage Railway in July and in Metro-Land – the early 20th century suburban idyll – in September.
Epping Ongar Heritage Railway15 and 16 July 2017 – 09:00 to 16:30London Transport Museum and Epping Ongar Heritage Railway will bring the Metropolitan No.1 steam locomotive to Essex on a line that was once part of the London Underground Central Line. Passengers will be able to enjoy a nostalgic train journey through picturesque countryside, beautiful forest and historic towns. As well as heritage trains, there will be free family fun activities where kids can design their own felt London transport roundel logo badges, and a pop-up gift shop selling gifts, toys and models.
Vintage Summer SteamAmersham and Watford and Harrow-on-the-Hill9 and 10 September 2017– 10:15 to 16:15In September passengers can enjoy journeys evocative of the early 20thcentury along with a pop-up vintage tea experience when the Metropolitan No. 1 steam locomotive and the 1938 art deco Tube stock train run on the Metropolitan line between Amersham and Harrow-on-the-Hill.
