Do you ever need a day to relax?  Want to look and feel your best?  A spa day can be invigorating for both men and women, whether you’re going in for a massage, skin treatment, or even a good soak.  London has plenty of spas to help you with all of this.  Some of the best spas in London can be found in its luxury hotels or as freestanding businesses, and prices range from affordable to treating yourself.  We’ve identified five of the best spas in London below, and since this list is not exhaustive, you can share your favorites with us in the comments.

Aire Ancient Baths

London has plenty of ancient Roman ruins and the Aire Ancient Baths takes you back to the Roman baths of yore.  You can enjoy a variety of bathing experiences here from saltwater to wine as well as a package that includes a 30-to-60-minute massage.  You can opt for a Himalayan salt treatment that includes a full body wrap followed by a massage with Himalayan salt stones.  They also offer great packages for couples so you can have a romantic and relaxing day together.

Agua Spa at Sea Containers

A combination of Hollywood and holistic can be found at Aqua Spa.  Agua is part of the Sea Containers hotel in Southbank but is open to all guests and visitors alike.  The spa has a seasonal treatment menu and makes the most of British-grown ingredients for your massage, facial, or mani-pedi.  The thing to book here is the Advanced Body Work massage, a sixty-minute treatment designed to help with sports injuries and chronic pain.  Additionally, they offer treatments for cancer patients and pregnant women, so there is something to fulfill many different needs here.

Cowshed

Found in Primrose Hill, Cowshed has a treatment for nearly everyone.  Cowshed will make you feel at home, from its location in one of the city’s most picturesque neighborhoods to its interior, which has a home-style kitchen and living room for relaxation.  While you receive your massage, salt scrub, LED treatment, mani-pedi, facial, or whatever you choose, you’ll be able to snack on homemade cakes while sipping tea or champagne.  Cowshed is like being at home, but far more relaxing and with a luxury you won’t get in your own abode.  It’s also the right price for the budget-conscious, with prices on the lower end of this list.

ESPA Life at Corinthia

If you really want to get away from it all and the people driving you crazy, ESPA Life at Corinthia is the place for you.  Located in the Corinthia Hotel, Life is one of the largest spas in the city, with four floors dedicated to a variety of treatments.  ESPA Life tries to treat your mind as well as your body with calming scents, reflexology, Chinese medicine, and other holistic practices.  For your fitness needs, there is a gym and twenty-four personal trainers to help you set goals for your body’s health.  Lastly, you can enjoy any number of beverages or snacks along with your facial, mani-pedi, or massage, so there’s no reason not to consider ESPA Life.

Spa at Mandarin Oriental

Located in one of London’s most luxurious hotels, the Spa at Mandarin Oriental has some treatments you’ll have to experience to believe, such as the amethyst steam bath.  There’s also a Samarium thermal spa, a two-lane swimming pool, a Rasul chamber cleansing experience, a heavy-weights gym, and a mani-pedi studio.  There’s plenty more where that came from, and the spa utilizes one of the top medical products with Nescans.  You can tailor the treatments to meet your individual needs, so if you feel like splurging a bit, the Spa at Mandarin Oriental is a place you’ll want to consider.
